What our Community Cancer Care Program does:
Provide Cancer Care across the cancer spectrum:
- Prevention
- Detection
- Diagnosis
- Treatment
- Follow up
- Palliative Care in partnership with Cancer Care Manitoba
Our goal:
To help our patients enjoy life, living comfortably despite a cancer diagnosis.
Who we are:
A team of compassionate professionals including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, pastoral care, support workers, volunteers, and music therapists.
Cancer Care Navigation:
A cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming; fearing the unknown. Navigating the Health Care system can be a confusing process. We offer help with the Cancer Care Navigation Program, providing cancer patients with guidance throughout their cancer journey.
What we provide:
- Ongoing chemotherapy and related treatments in collaboration with oncologists
- Patient Education on Chemotherapy Medicines, their side effects, and management of side effects
- Ongoing patient support
- Access to multidisciplinary team
Follow up:
Regular physician visits follow completion of treatment. Nursing and physician treatment follow up post bone marrow transplant patients.
Manitoba Telehealth:
Through internet connection, we are able to give patients access to oncologist or other specialist appointments by video.
