Seven years later these thoughts still bring tears to my eyes…”
“In November of 2003, we brought our 21 month old son Joshua in for a seizure, that would prove to be extremely life threatening. The doctors at BTHC, including Dr. Hesom did everything they could do to stabalize Joshua. They prepared him to be transported to Children’s hospital in Winnipeg. They prayed for him and sent him off. A few days after Joshua was recovering, I asked the neurologist if it would have been better if we would have just come straight to Winnipeg, or if it was good that we went to BTHC. She said that the doctors at BTHC could not have possibly done anything better for Josh. They did everything right, and she gave them much acknowledgement for his quick recovery. 7 years later, these thoughts still bring tears to my eyes. I think we take our doctors for granted and are quick to judge when things don’t go exactly as we want. I, on the other hand, would like to give credit where it is due. Thank you to all the doctors who were involved in this case. Dr. Hesom has, and always will have, a special place in my heart.”
