BTHC Foundation is a 2024 Pembina Valley Tim Horton’s Smile Cookie Partner

Tim Horton’s Smile Cookie is back this spring and the BTHC Foundation is excited to be a 2024 Pembina Valley Tim’s Smile Cookie partner. From April 29th to May 5th, sales from every $1.50 Smile Cookie sold at Morden and Winkler Tim’s locations will go towards funding a wide range of unique programming, equipment purchases, and education initiatives that make the care at BTHC so special.

As a first time partner, we can’t wait to join forces with the Morden and Winkler teams to put smiles on thousands of cookies this spring. Last year, over 20,000 cookies were sold between both locations!

Every smile – and every cookie – counts! We will be selling cookies at BTHC that week if you’d like to share the fun with patients and staff.

We can’t wait to see your smiles!

Bubba Claus Raises Funds for Cancer Care at BTHC

Dianne Heinrichs published her first book, Bubba Claus Helps Santa Spread Joy, just before Christmas. After losing her husband Myles to cancer and inspired by her own cancer journey, Dianne channelled her grief into writing a Christmas story using her husband’s holiday nickname, “Bubba Claus.” Over 700 books later, Dianne came to the hospital to present a cheque for $1,620 for cancer care at BTHC. The book has been read internationally, with people sending pictures from Japan, Australia, the Netherlands, the Philippines, the United States and across Canada. Thank you to everyone who purchased a book and supported not only BTHC but Dianne as well!

BTHC Foundation is Access Credit Union’s 2023 Jeans for Charity Recipient

Thank you to Morden’s Access Credit Union Branch for selecting the BTHC Foundation as their 2023 Jeans for Charity recipient! Jeans for Charity is a fundraising initiative designed by Access to provide the opportunity for staff to wear jeans on Fridays while raising money for local non-profits. Participating staff donate a minimum of $3 every Friday with proceeds matched by Access, and then staff select the recipient organization. The Foundation was excited to receive a cheque for $7,676, which will be earmarked for equipment purchases at BTHC. Special thank you to those employees who opted for business casual last year and to Access for the matching funds!
