It was a special day this week as the BTHC Foundation received an incredible $45,000 donation from the Morden Community Thrift Store as part of their fall granting. The thrift store gave back $211,000 to a variety of community groups and local causes this fall and the BTHC Foundation is humbled to be among those chosen.
The Foundation is deeply grateful for this continued generosity, which will allow for the replacement of all 10 chairs in the BTHC Cancer Care ward with new heated chairs. This upgrade was inspired by a thoughtful request from local resident Emily Bennett, who, after her recent diagnosis with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, recognized how comforting heated chairs were during her treatments in Winnipeg. Thank you, Emily, and heartfelt thanks to the Morden Thrift Store for your compassion and commitment to making a difference. Your generosity truly brings comfort closer to home for all those undergoing cancer treatments at BTHC.
